Rachid Belkouch

I’m a Phd student in cognitive informatics, a multidisciplinary program bridging information technology and cognitive science at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), under the supervision of prof. Pierre Poirier (Cognitive Sciences Institute director). I’m also a lecturer in information technology and knowledge management, and an information technology professional. I’m interested in interaction design in urban context, information design, information visualization, urban informatics and cognitive science. I have attended Marcus Foth’s Urban Informatics and Sustainable Cities workshop, with Patrick Hoffman (designer at Google Maps) and Adam Greenfield’s walkshop (Urban Informatics Summer School, Oulu, 2010).

I participated in various conferences ranging from Urban informatics to Knowledge management. Cognitive evolution and technology (Acfas congress, Ottawa 2009) Hybrid Minds (Cognitio conference, Montreal 2010).
