My journey with anthropology began in 2003, when I started studying social and cultural anthropology in Vienna. In 2004, I started working for international NGOs in designing internal and external communications as well as tapping into social service design.

Sandy combines her artistic work with an academic career. Since 2009 she teaches Audio-Visual Design to students in Interaction Design and was also involved in several design research projects, on the topic of serious games, multitouch interfaces, public participation and information visualization.
He’s a Phd student in cognitive informatics, a multidisciplinary program bridging information technology and cognitive science at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), under the supervision of prof. Pierre Poirier (Cognitive Sciences Institute director). He’s also a lecturer in information technology and knowledge management, and an information technology professional.
He studies “Digital design and communication” at the It-university of Copenhagen, which focus on the aesthetics of user experiences and innovative concept development. Through his bachelor in “Digital media and design”, he has designed various playful urban projects that focus on how locals can connect and change behavior in urban space caused by a digital design.
Interaction and service designer. She is interested in researching how people create their own culture around the context in which they inhabit and the objects they use, often by appropriating in a spontaneous and meaningful way the material and technology artifacts they are surrounded by.
Architect and Urban designer from Perth, Western Australia. With the intention to harness the temporal medium of sound in order to represent spatio-temporal urban relationships, the result is a ‘Sonified Urban Masterplan’ tool for both ‘listening’ to urban rhythms as well as designing them in space and time.
Her Master thesis focused on organic approaches to architectural design processes especially in the computational design processes. She has recently completed her PhD thesis entitled “The Implications of Building Environmental Assessment Tools within the Building Practice in Turkey”. Her research interest includes sustainability in architecture, computational design, and organic approach in architectural design processes.
In cooperation with other fellow students she founded the Forum of Young Architects, an interactive space where students from every architecture school in Albania could exchange opinions, information and experiences.
PhD candidate in Media, at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, located at the Chair of Interface Design, with the research project: “Cultural Heritage on Mobile Devices: an analysis about the collaborative relations and dynamics between the content promoters and users”. He has experience in Design and Media, with emphasis on interaction about mobile media and urban spaces, focused in the following areas: Interface Design, Mobile Media, Urban Media, Mass and Culture Media, GUI, and HCI.
His background is in industrial engineering and management, where he focused on product ergonomics, and organizational development; the latter made him work as a trainer-facilitator in youth NGOs, and recently as a professional. Along his education he has experimented with building novel musical interfaces, and this also connects to his main passion: music.
Designer and researcher. As a PhD student at the Politecnico di Milano, she is conducting a research about people’s experience of the night-time of their cities. In particular, her research is about the new possibilities of lighting design with new technologies in the creation of more personal, social and experiential nocturnal cities.
